에디스 쉐퍼

에디스 쉐퍼 (Edith Rachel Merritt Schaeffer, 1914년 11월 3일 – 2013년 3월 30일)는 기독교 작가이자 그의 남편 프란시스 쉐퍼가 세운 라브리공동체 (L'Abri)의 공동 창립자이다. 아들 프랑크 쉐퍼와 다른 세명의 자녀가 이었다.

생애

중국의 내지 선교사 조오지 세빌과 제시 세빌사이에서 4째로 중국 웬주에서 태어났다. 필라델피아 글랜사이드에 있는 비버 캘러지를 쉐퍼가 다닐때 그녀를 만났다. 1935년 둘은 결혼을 했고 4 자녀를 가졌다. 그들의 이름은 Priscilla, Susan, Deborah and Frank.이다. 프랜시스 쉐퍼와 함께 라브리선교회를 세웠고, 40여 년 동안 라브리 사역을 이끌며 성경의 절대 진리성을 삶을 통해 증명해 왔다. 1984년 쉐퍼 박사가 작고한 후에도 전 세계를 돌며 강연과 선교 활동을 계속하다가 2013년 3월 30일에 소천했다.
